Summary: Very nice hotel, but for the price we had to pay it was grossly over priced

Summary: When I checked out I was asked if I enjoyed my stay and I can say that I answered with honesty when I said YES. All in all I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Feedback for the hotel as follows: Staff were exceptional. Very polite and helpful. Facilities are getting tired. If this Hotel wants to retain its 5* rating and measure up to other 5* hotels then they need to invest. 1st room we had had faulty AC. Staff, being excellent as ever, immediately moved us to another room. Here we had working AC but the curtains did not fully shut properly or meet in the middle so we had daylight streaming in first thing in the am. Small issue but also very easy to fix. The decor is starting to look very dated with threadbare carpets in the halls etc. The building itself is fantastic and with some investment in decor this could be a truly amazing destination hotel. Aside of the wearing furnishings, some small details like addressing the lack of cushions on the outdoor plastic rattan seats in the courtyard should be very simple to fix. Last recommendation - the weekend piano player in the lounge just seems very dated. No offence to him, he was good but it was like being transported to business hotel in the 90s :-) Anyway, this is also just personal feedback and I go back to my initial point. We very much enjoyed the stay. The hotel is in great location, the staff are great and Lille itself is an absolute hidden gem. We will be back!

Summary: The place was amazing, it was really cool as it was a hospice for many years before it was converted into a hotel. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the staff was amazing. The bar was stellar. If there was a question the front staff was there to help me out.

Summary: We like the older parts of the hotel and very much liked the wood panelled bedroom. The staff were friendly and efficient. Overall a very nice stay.

Summary: Staff very friendly and helpful. Room amenities: Nescafe powder instead of good coffee in a 5-star hotel?? Handle in shower was broken. Tiles damaged. All in all much room for improvement

Summary: A beautiful hotel within a few minutes walk of the main square and old city of Lille. The hotel is sited in a former hermitage and lots of original features have been retained. It’s like staying in modern hotel with a museum attached and is fascinating to walk round. The staff could not have been more friendly, professional and helpful. The pool and spa were very welcome after a wintry day in the city. The only slight issue we had was in the restaurant where our order was somehow lost and we were unable to have our original choice of food. However, the staff were apologetic and we left satisfied.

Summary: The team at the hotel were amazing. They lets us check in before 3pm after a very early start to the day. The room was so comfortable and spacious. It was made up every day when we came home in the afternoon - this is a rarity in hotels these days. The hotel is walkable to all parts of the city and in a great location for the metro which is two stops from Lille Europe. Pool and steam room were never that busy and I nice way to start the day or unwind in the afternoon. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: The beds were very comfortable and the shower was good. Nice ambiance and a very good breakfast. The pool was a little bit cold and it was a pitty that we booked a hotel with a spa but we couldn’t book a treatment in all 3 days we were in the hotel.
